Rocking for a Cure!

for yet another year in a row, a small group of hard-working individuals has come together as ‘Indie Rock for RFL’.  every year, this amazing group of people solicits the help of the indie rock community’s DJs, clubs, musicians, artists, builders and designers to support the Relay for Life cancer charity by bringing the Indie Rock for RFL Carnival to life once more.

and all i have to say is.. wow.  in addition to the carnival, there will be a date auction, DJs & live music all weekend long, art displayed around the grounds (curated by the one typing at you), and some amazing designs created by some of the most talented designers in SL.

a lot of these items are for sale in stores right now, and i’ve picked my favorites to show you.  you can follow the slurls below, or you can pick these items up at the carnival, May 13-17!  i’ll post the flyer soon 🙂  be prepared to mop up yr drool and pull out yr pixel wallets, kittens:

Dress: This is a Fawn – RFL Hax Dress [dip dye]

Tee: This is a Fawn – RFL Faux Bois Tee

Sweater: Pig – Grandma dropped her pocket (RFL)

Shirt: Schadenfreude – Deep Purple Oxford

Shirt: Schadenfreude – Deep Purple Oxford

Swimsuit: Thimbles – Toasted Plaid Knuckle Crack Teal

Sweater:  Fishy Strawberry – RFL Letterman Sweater

..and maybe the most exciting of all – Four Yip has been incredibly generous in donating this beautiful oil painting for the item auction.  this is an actual, real life painting! that means if you bid on it and win, Ms. Yip will send you the actual, RL painting!  and all proceeds from this and the other items featured here benefit RFL.  feels good, don’t it?
